Please join Virtuous Enterprises, Inc. at a community forum throughout Southern Prince George's County, Maryland to learn how to strengthen and improve our outreach efforts to better serve low-income, women-headed householders.
According to the Portrait Project - a groundbreaking study conducted by the Washington Area Women's Foundation, Prince George's County has the highest concentration of low-income, women-headed families in the Washington region. The goal of the forums is to gain insight and input to increase the economic stability and security of low-income, women-headed families through affordable housing, educational attainment, affordable health & childcare, livable wage careers, and/or entrepreneurship.
County Council Members, Mayors, social advocates, and particularly women-headed, householders are invited to join us for a conversation to share ideas, needs, or methods to better serve low-income women in Prince George's County. Light refreshments will be served. Download Flyer

Creating Social Change through Teen Activism
The 2008 ME First Teen Empowerment Conference is designed to teach attendees how to use their gifts, time, and talent to engage in civic activism to strengthen the communities where they live, work, and attend school. We believe that the "teenage mind" is good planting soil to produce fruits of wisdom through seeds of knowledge accompanied with water of hope to address issues that debilitates the core value system of our vibrant communities. Following are the sessions that will be held during the conference:
- Community Organizing: Is it possible at my age?
- Leadership 101: What does it really take to be a great leader?
- Consumerism: What's the impact in our communities?
- Youth and Politics: Is there a Connection?
- Teen Philanthropy: Legacy Givers
- Community Stakeholders: The Branches of Government
Conference registration will start on Monday, April 7.
